Living with Burnout

For as long as I can remember, I've always dealt with issues of internal pressurisation from external stressors, but this post is detailing my experiences with living with what is classed by the WHO as the 'occupational phenomenon': burnout.


This article displays the symptoms of my affliction in perfect detail, which isn't an issue of personalisation, but a widespread phenomenon which can affect us all.


This all stems from a variety of factors, from lockdown stress, financial issues, to even personal problems within a family.


But my issue here stems from my descent into exhaustion from all the work I've been attempting this year, combined with my new regimen of medication causing severe drowsiness, which in turn affects my daily performance in the workplace.


One thing I want to make explicitly clear; is that this is just my experience, don't take all I say as fact.


How did I get into this situation of feeling constantly exhausted and mentally exhausted?
