A New Year: 2023

Hello all, and a Happy New Year!

From my reflections on 2022, I'd seen how my choices could make a difference; especially in February 2022, the world would change with the Russian Federation's "special military operation" of the sovereign nation of Ukraine.

For more information on my thoughts on this horrific event, see this post here: https://www.mytrainofthought.co.uk/post/ukraine-a-story-of-resistance-hope

From making a change by donating a hefty dividend of my salary and a majority of any spare money through the Disaster and Emergency Committee to the people of Ukraine, both done during my academic tenure and in my own time.

After I graduated in July my summer was fairly mundane before I began to take on a regular gym regimen in August 2022. This had many positive effects on my mental well-being, feeling a lot better and a drop in excess weight; however I only saw the weight loss as a minor effect on my overall health and outlook on my future endeavours.

By the point of my 21st birthday, I had made a very large dent in my core workouts, feeling the best I'd been in a fair few years.

Moving into December, things continued as normal, culminating in a rather nonchalant New Years' celebration. After the fireworks to welcome in the new year, things had begun to slow down, as everyone got back to their normal lives.

I'm glad to have seen 2022 through and will be looking forward to what 2023 brings for me.

See you on the other side.
